Wooden surfaces

Unlike metallic surfaces, you should be a little gentle with wooden surfaces. Instead of using acetone, using mineral spirits and rub with a rag until the surface is clean.

Concrete walls and tiles surfaces

Just like the wooden surfaces, acetone may not be the solution when you have a flex seal stain on one of your walls. Try using mineral spirits and rub it away with a rag. That should work for you

Car body and interior

Using paint thinner, such as toluene, should get the work done for you. Acetone again is not an option with you have a flex seal mess on the exterior surfaces of your car because it can remove paint from the surfaces. However, if you have flex seal spill on the interior surfaces of your car, try using mineral spirits and rub the surfaces thoroughly using a rag until the surface is clean.

Carpets

Removing flex seal from carpets can be done using mineral spirits or if it’s a little tough try using paint thinners. Don’t try acetone as it will damage the carpet. Applying mineral spirit or toluene and rubbing with a rag should get the work done.

Cloth and fabric surfaces

Fabric materials are more delicate and removing flex seal stains from them should be done gently. However, blotting the material with mineral spirit should remove the stains. It may not be easy or fast but it will eventually clear.
